Your donation is a practical way to invest in what happens here: a place where people find music and meaning, friendship and support, and a steady invitation to show up for one another and for our wider community. Whether you give once or set up ongoing giving, you’re helping Knox be an Open Space, a Vibrant Place, and a home for Sacred Connections—today and for the people who will walk through these doors next.

Tax receipts will be issued by the end of February in the following year.

Wondering about your charitable tax credit?

When you give to Knox United Church, you’re not just supporting a great cause - you’re also lowering your income tax. By claiming your charitable donation receipts, you can take advantage of federal and provincial tax credits that may return up to 49% of your donation at tax time. “Thou shalt not give tax advice” is strictly adhered to by Knox United. Please consult with a tax professional surrounding your charitable donation decision.

2025 Stewardship Giving Program

The 2025 Stewardship Program connects us to the wider community with Open Space. Vibrant Place. Sacred Connections. We need your help to support Knox’s operating expenses, which enable it to excel as an innovative hub and to become more deeply engaged with the downtown community as a safe and welcoming space for quiet contemplation, right relations, social justice, arts, music, culture and spiritual growth.

KNOX FOUNDATION

The Knox United Church Foundation of Calgary (Knox Foundation) is an independent body that receives, holds and manages endowments and other funds to support the ongoing ministry of Knox United Church or for the maintenance of the historical building, Casavant organ, and memorial garden.

QUICK FACTS

  • Knox Foundation is a registered Canadian charity.

  • Annual disbursements to support the ministry of Knox United Church are mostly from income on investments.

  • Disbursements for maintenance of the historic building, Casavant organ and memorial garden are made when major expenses arise using accumulated income and (where permitted) the original capital of donations designated for that purpose.

  • Since its inception in 1987, Knox Foundation has received over $1 million in donations and disbursed almost $1 million to Knox United Church.

  • Knox Foundation retains investments with a value of $871,000 at the end of August 2025. · Investments are managed by the Calgary Foundation.

  • Donations to Knox Foundation can be made by bequest, as a memorial, or as an allocation of regular offerings. Donors’ identities will be kept confidential upon request.
