Our Story
Rooted in 1883, growing into 2026 and beyond
Knox United Church has been part of Calgary's story since the year the last spike was driven and the city was barely a settlement. For over 140 years we have gathered, argued, adapted, grown, and continued to ask what it means to be a church that serves the city, all of the city, all of its people.
The story continues.
Knox is evolving as a Knox Centre for Spirituality, Justice & the Arts, transforming its sacred spaces into sites of beauty, creativity, and community. The next chapter is being written now.
